There are news all around that gas prices will reach a record high in spring. They even predict that the all time high of $4.11 dated July 2008 might be broken in April. So now is probably the time to look for that fuel efficient SUV or car and start saving money on fuel instead of spending more for it. With all the new fuel efficient models (hybrids, EVs, etc) that are already around and are hitting the market soon, the time for this has never been better.
